Crockpot Cherry Cobbler
1 16-oz. can cherry pie filling 1-3/4 cups cake mix from two layer package 1 egg 3 Tbsp. evaporated milk 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
Lightly butter a 3-4 quart crockpot. Place pie filling in prepared crockpot and cook on high for 30 minutes. Mix together the remaining ingredients in a medium bowl until crumbly and spoon onto the hot pie filling. Cover and cook for 2-3 hours on low. Serves 8

Use a rack
A rack placed under the pan inside your crockpot will allow heat to circulate evenly around the pan, resulting in an evenly cooked product.

Crockpot Turtle Cake
1 21-1/2 oz. pkg. brownie mix 1/2 cup water 1/4 cup vegetable oil 1 egg 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips 1 cup chopped pecans 13 unwrapped caramels
Place a vegetable steamer or other low rack on the bottom of a 5-quart electric slow cooker. Pour in 4 cups hot tap water and turn to high heat.
In a large bowl, combine the brownie mix, 1/2 cup water, oil, and egg and beat with a wooden spoon to mix well. Stir in the chocolate chips and nuts.
Butter a 2 1/2-quart souffle dish that fits in the 5-quart slow cooker and dust with sugar. Pour brownie mixture into the dish. Push the caramels partially into the batter, but do not push all the way into the brownie mixture. Wrap the dish in a double thickness of foil. Tie with kitchen string, making a handle to make the dish easier to remove. Place on the rack in the slow cooker.
Cover and cook on the high heat setting 4 1/2 hours. Remove the dish from the slow cooker, remove string and foil, and let cool 30 minutes. Serve warm with whipped cream. 8 servings.

Apple Brown Betty
3 lbs. cooking apples 10 slices of bread, cubed 1/2 tsp. cinnamon 1/4 tsp. nutmeg 1/8 tsp. salt 3/4 cup brown sugar 1/2 cup butter or margarine, melted
Peel, core, and cut apples into eighths; place in bottom of 4 quart crockpot. Combine bread cubes, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt, sugar, butter; toss together. Place on top of apples in crockpot. Cover and cook on low setting 3 to 4 hours, until apples are tender. 6 to 8 servings

Chocolate Rice Pudding
4 cups cooked white rice 3/4 cup sugar 1/4 cup cocoa powder 3 Tbsp. melted butter 1 tsp. vanilla 2 12-oz. cans evaporated milk
Spray the inside of a 3-4 quart crockpot with nonstick cooking spray. Combine all ingredients in crockpot and stir to blend. cover and cook on low for 2-1/2 to 3 hours, or until rice has absorbed the liquid. Stir before serving.

Chocolate Pudding Cake
Crockpot Chocolate Mess 1 pkg. chocolate cake mix 1 3-oz. pkg. instant chocolate pudding mix 4 eggs 1 cup water 2 cups sour cream 3/4 cup oil 1 6-oz. bag chocolate chips
Spray a 4 quart crockpot with non-stick cooking spray and set aside. In a large bowl, combine the cake mix and pudding mix. In a medium bowl, beat the eggs with the water, then add the sour cream and oil and beat until smooth. Add to the dry ingredients and beat well. Stir in the chocolate chips.
Pour into crockpot. Cover slow cooker and cook on low for 6-8 hours, until top springs back when touched very lightly with finger. 8-10 servings

Hot Fudge Cake
1 cup flour 1/2 cup sugar 2 Tbsp. cocoa 2 tsp. baking powder 1/4 tsp. salt 1/2 cup milk 2 Tbsp. oil 1 tsp. vanilla 1/2 cup chopped pecans 3/4 cup brown sugar 1/4 cup cocoa 1-1/2 cups hot water
Spray the inside of a 3 quart crockpot with nonstick cooking spray.
In a medium bowl, combine flour, sugar, 2 Tbsp. cocoa, baking powder, and salt. Add milk, oil and vanilla and mix until smooth. Add nuts, then spread in bottom of crockpot.
In a small bowl, combine brown sugar and 1/4 cup cocoa and blend with whisk. Add hot water and stir until smooth. Pour over batter in crockpot.
Cover crockpot and cook on high for 2 to 2-1/2 hours or until toothpick inserted in center of cake comes out clean. Turn off crockpot and let cake stand, uncovered, 30-35 minutes to cool slightly. Spoon cake onto serving dishes and cover with sauce that has formed in the bottom of the crockpot.

Cinnamon Bread Pudding
6 cups cinnamon raisin bread cubes 1/2 cup raisins 1 cup egg product 1/4 cup water 1 tsp. vanilla 1/2 tsp. cinnamon 1 14-oz. can sweetened condensed milk
Spray a 3-4 quart crockpot with nonstick cooking spray. Place cubes of bread in the crockpot and sprinkle with raisins.
In medium bowl, combine egg product, water, vanilla, cinnamon and sweetened condensed milk and blend. Pour over ingredients in crockpot. Cover crockpot and cook on high for 2-1/2 to 3 hours, or until a toothpick inserted in center of pudding comes out clean. Serve warm.

Crockpot Apple Cobbler
This easy and delicious recipe takes only a few minutes to prepare and tastes like apple crisp! Use your favorite brand of granola cereal in this recipe.
2 cups peeled, sliced tart apples 2 cups granola cereal 1 tsp. cinnamon 1/4 cup honey 2 Tbsp. melted butter
Spray inside of crockpot with nonstick cooking spray. Combine apples, cereal and cinnamon in crockpot and mix well. Stir together honey and butter and drizzle over apple mixture. Mix gently. Cover crockpot and cook on LOW 8 hours. 4 servings

Curried Fruit
1 16-oz. pkg. pitted prunes 1 11-oz. pkg. dried apricots 2 13-oz. cans pineapple chunks, drained 1 29-oz. can peach slices, drained 1 cup brown sugar 1 tsp. curry powder 12 oz. ginger ale
Combine all ingredients in 4-5 quart crockpot. Cover crockpot and cook on low 4-5 hours until fruit is tender and mixture is thickened. Serve over ice cream or pound cake.
Combine in small bowl and press in bottom and 3/4" up side of an 8" springform pan. Set aside.
2 8-oz. pkg. cream cheese, softened 2/3 cup sugar 2 eggs 1 tsp. vanilla 1/4 cup heavy cream 1 Tbsp. flour 2 2-oz. Snickers bars, chopped
In large bowl, mix cream cheese, sugar, eggs and vanilla until smooth. Add 1/4 cup cream and the flour and beat for 2 minutes. Spoon half into prepared crust in the springform pan. Sprinkle with the chopped candy bars, and cover with rest of cream cheese mixture. Cover top of springform pan with foil.
Place rack in bottom of 5-quart crockpot and place springform pan on top of the rack. Cover crockpot and cook on high for 2-3/4 to 3 hours, until the cheesecake is set. Remove cover and let cheesecake cool in the crockpot until cold enough to handle. Remove and cool 1 more hour, then refrigerate overnight.
3/4 cup chocolate chips 2 Tbsp. heavy cream 1 Tbsp. light corn syrup 1/3 cup chopped pecans
In small saucepan, combine chocolate chips, cream, and corn syrup and heat until melted and smooth, stirring frequently. Pour over the cold cheesecake, sprinkle with pecans, and chill again until chocolate is set. 8-10 servings

Crockpot preparation
Follow the recipe carefully when preparing your crockpot for cooking desserts. Make sure to use nonstick cooking spray if it is called for, spraying the inside of the crockpot or liner thoroughly.
Do not drain fruits when thawed. In a 4 quart crockpot, combine thawed fruits with their juices, sugar and 1/3 cup flour and mix well. Cover and cook on high for 1 hour, then stir well.
In medium bowl, combine 1 cup flour, brown sugar, baking pwoder, nutmeg and salt and blend well. Cut in butter until fine crumbs form. Add cream and vanilla and mix gently until a dough forms. Drop spoonfuls of dough on top of the hot fruit mixture. Cover crockpot and cook on high for 1-1/2 hours, until cobbler topping is cooked through. Serve warm.

Crockpot Caramel Apple Dip
2 medium apples, peeled and cut into wedges 1/2 cup apple juice 7 oz. caramels, unwrapped 1 tsp. vanilla 1/8 tsp. ground cardamom 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon 1/3 cup creamy peanut butter
In 3-4 quart crockpot, combine apple juice, unwrapped caramel candies, vanilla, cardamom and cinnamon. Drop peanut butter, 1 teaspoon at a time, over ingredients in crock pot and stir. Add apple wedges and stir to coat. Cover crockpot and cook on LOW for 5 hrs. Stir thoroughly, then cook one hour longer. Serve dip with angel food cake or fresh fruit for dipping, or use as an ice cream topping. 8 servings

Water bath
