If you make cookies frequently, you may want to pick up a cookie spatula. They rectangular spatulas are very thin and have a fairly sharp edge to make it easier to lift them from the cookie sheet. If you try to use your plastic egg turner, you will end up with mushed cookies. And, be sure to cool cookies on a wire rack. They will cool more quickly and retain their shape this way.
